Driver's License & Car
License exchange, carte grise, contrôle technique, car registration
Summary
As an EU citizen, you may drive in France with your Dutch driver's license as long as it's valid. You're not required to exchange your license, but there are situations where it's advisable or necessary. If you bring a car to France, you must register it (carte grise) within one month of settling. The contrôle technique (vehicle inspection) is mandatory every two years.
